TECHNICAL/APPLICATIVE CHARACTERISTICS:
Acid Series pH Sliding Agent is a product that, by heating and during boiling, slowly saponifies and the released acid brings pH to lower values so to gradually increase dyeing speed.
This provides the best conditions to achieve even dyeings that can be further improved with the addition of the proper levelling agents
RECOMMENDATIONS OF USE:
Generally speaking, polyamide and wool dyeing start at slightly alkaline pH (7-8 for wool, 8-9 for polyamide) in order to have the lowest possible dyes substantivity towards the fibre. Increasing dyeing time or temperature with the addition of Acid Series, a gradual increase of substantivity is achieved in relation to the progressive pH decrease as per the following graph:
Dosage depends not only on pH value to be reached but also on material to be treated, liquor ratio and quantity of employed industrial water.
ADVANTAGES:
- It prevents uneven dyeings even with light colour shades
- Initial dyeing temperature can be brought to 60 - 80°C
- Temperature can be increased more quickly
- Consequent reduction of dyeing time
REMARKS:
Product must be diluted in cold water but only a short time before its use since by dilution product let hydrolysis start with the consequent acidity release and could therefore partially lose its effectiveness.
