Founded in 1981, SY Chem has promptly coped with all customers’ demands, starting with surfactants for fibers. Through continuously complementing the performance of existing products, and promoting the development of new ones, SY Chem has equipped itself with various chemicals for paper, oil and other industrial fields including surfactants for fibers. With the goal of constructing an independent technical area, and improving competitiveness in the seriously competitive market for surfactants through unrivaled and specialized products, SY Chem expanded its existing laboratory and built this new Laboratory in 1993.

SY Chem Laboratory has established the QC process suitable for small quantity batch production, and developed raw materials and alternative products to reduce reliance on imports. It has also improved processes for higher performance and quality. Now it is working on the development of specialized products that can create high values, such as surfactants for the fiber industry and chemicals for paper. SY Chem Laboratory is also focused on the development of environmentally-friendly products in preparation for Green Round.

SY Chem Laboratory participates not only in its own technical development, but also in national projects. Through this, it intends to accumulate technologies and to keep close cooperative relationships with other laboratories, to cope with the changes in advanced technology.

We have been trying to replace the existing surfactants for fibers with environment-friendly competitive products, and through the development of function improvers for paper or of environment-friendly products for other industries, we will progress even further in the 21st century.
